I’m Travis Pike, and I have a passion for things that go boom. Since 2011, I’ve been a freelance firearms writer, and it’s been a blast—both literally and figuratively! I love writing about guns and the gear that goes with them.

I also enjoy teaching people how to shoot. I’m not a Navy SEAL, but I can help most folks hit their targets—eventually.

I served five years in the Marine Corps infantry as a machine gunner (0331 MOS) and traveled to 13 different countries during my service. I worked as a non-commissioned officer and took part in various professional courses, including the East Coast School of Intelligence, the School of Infantry East, and Combat Lifesaver training.
